Kathleen Aspenns: [00:00:17]
Welcome back, flower essence friends. Today we are going to take on the topic of myths, misunderstandings, and general misconceptions about flower essences. We thought it would be a fun topic because boy, don’t we get those questions a lot where we realize that people don’t actually understand what flower essences are and what they do. But first, Ro, hey, how are you doing? Good to see you again.
Rochana Felde: [00:01:06] Oh, I’m great, Kathleen. And it’s great that February’s beginning now, and spring is on the horizon here in the northern hemisphere, and it’s just been a pretty wet and rainy winter. So I’m looking forward to the flowers popping up. Some of them already are. And it’s just I love that part of the year. But before we get into this great topic, I also wanted to mention to listeners that we just launched at The School for Flower Essence Studies, a new course that Kathleen’s teaching and it’s all about how to use flower essences for your dogs. It’s called Canine Care: Bach Flowers for Dogs. So if you want to help your dog be healthier and happier and calmer and less stressed and deal with specific challenges, Kathleen can show you the way in this new course and really excited to be launching it right now.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:02:07] It was really fun doing it because animals and certainly dogs are a big part of my practice. My practice is evenly divided between animals and people, and I just love working with dogs because they really do respond to the essences so quickly and so clearly that there’s really no question, are they working? Which maybe leads us a little bit into what we’re talking about today. Although I do want to just bring in, we have such a good cohort going on right now in our flower essence practitioner training, it is so delightful to see everybody joining together and learning this beautiful practice. And really, it’s been a real treat to meet people and to help them out. And in our community, we’re really enjoying the conversations that are taking place. So I just wanted to say hi to everyone in our cohort, and if you didn’t get to be able to do it this time, perhaps next time we are taking signups for interest for people for the next cohort. So I hope if you have any interest in becoming a practitioner, whether it’s whatever scale you want to do it, this is a really good way to learn.
Rochana Felde: [00:03:17] Yeah. It is. It’s just filling my heart to see people who are so devoted to the plants and to this modality and wanting to take it to the next level. It’s pretty awesome. So it’s great to be able to support that. I really love it and really love what we’re doing with the school. And it’s just been such a natural outcropping of this work this year. I don’t know if you realize, Kathleen, but we’re going to hit our five-year mark doing this podcast.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:03:52] I did not realize that. Wow, summer. So happy five years to us.
Rochana Felde: [00:03:57] Yeah.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:03:58] It has been such a delight doing this podcast with you, Ro. It’s so funny to think of where we started and then where we are now and people have been joining us all along the way and getting to know us a little bit. It’s like, hey everybody, we’ve really been enjoying meeting you as students and joining this school because otherwise we don’t really know who’s listening. It’s been really a treat to meet people.
Rochana Felde: [00:04:23] Yeah, it’s great. So to the topic it’s kind of like an extension of what we talked about last month. We talked about cultivating discernment. And then we were thinking, well, what kinds of myths can we bust? What kind of questions can we answer that are all about flower essences? So we’re going to give that a little bit of time today. And what should we start with?
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:04:56] We met briefly and came up with a bit of a list. And I’m really having a hard time figuring out where to start because really it’s a tricky thing. I’m going to go with that more is better or that something needs to be powerful in order to work. So those are two myths that I think are pervasive culturally that if you should take perhaps like an herb for something, you should take all of it. You should take it so much that it makes you sick. Like, no, that’s not good. And certainly with essences if you took the entire bottle, it wouldn’t make any difference more than taking one drop or just a couple drops. It doesn’t work that way. I know I certainly when I first started, I was like, well, I’m going to make a super powerful bottle and put a lot more in than the two drops that are generally recommended, but turns out you don’t have to do that. It works just as well when you just use a few drops. I know that you’ve had a lot of experience talking people through the early phases of working with essences. Do you want to share some stories that you have?
Rochana Felde: [00:06:12] Yeah, it’s very similar. And also it’s interesting because coming from this working with herbs and herbalism there are different schools of thoughts on dosages. And some herbalists go with pretty high dosages of herbs and others are doing drop doses, like the smallest amount. And so there’s a school of thought that you should use the smallest amount. Only increase the dose to what you need. Start small and increase to what you need. And then the other schools of thoughts are like, hit it with the big guns more in a heroic way. And that’s really what pharmaceuticals do. So it’s kind of using them as pharmaceuticals. So there’s this difference in using an herbal substance as a pharmaceutical versus something gentle that is helping your body make its own changes. And then there’s everywhere in between. And with flower essences, first of all, they’re never going to ever, no matter how much you take work in any kind of heroic pharmaceutical manner. So that is exactly part of this explanation. And secondly, we know because it’s a vibrational energetic medicine that it’s not working on that principle of a plant chemistry interacting with your biology creating a reaction like an herb does. It’s working on this other principle of energy. And so it’s really where the best results is by the frequency, not the amount. So instead of taking something one time, you’re taking it over time multiple times. And sort of every time it’s helping to shift that energy. That’s how I like to explain it.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:08:20] If we thought about it like, we do have that powerful– like it needs to be powerful, I want it to be something that really knocks it out of the park. And to me, it feels like, okay, so are hugs better when you get crushed? The best hug is really one that just really meets you and enfolds you, and you feel warm and cozy and not so much the one that breaks your ribs. So essences really are a really good friend to you who meets you with a really gentle hug or just a hand on the shoulder or just holding your hand a little bit. It’s that kind of guidance that the essences provide rather than bear hugging you and throwing you onto some other place. They’re so profoundly, perfectly powerful. It’s like the power is just that exact right amount of power rather than something that overwhelms your system and unbalances you in a whole new way. But that’s how I think about it. It’s like, yeah, how much pressure does a hug need to be?
Rochana Felde: [00:09:32] I love that analogy. That is so good. I’m going to use that. It really perfectly describes it, I think. And who wants to be squeezed to death in a hug, you know? And the light touch is the one that is more nurturing and more healing. But then we also have these instances where there’s this whole thing about, “Do they work? How long does it take for them to work? I took it and it didn’t work.” And so we have to have this conversation about what that means, about what working even means, right?
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:10:25] It’s a very complicated conversation, isn’t it? First off, coming from the Western perspective, which is where most of us are coming from especially when we’re starting with essences, we kind of have that idea of like, you take an aspirin and your headache goes away. It worked. So somebody will come to an herb shop or find a remedy and go, I’m feeling this. I don’t want to feel this. Take this essence and it will go away. Maybe. And so you take it and maybe what it does is it does make that feeling go away. And that can be totally legit. And oftentimes that’s sort of our entryway into it. So in that case it “worked”. But what if it didn’t? And what if it uncovered something else? And we’re often not really looking at the global picture of what’s going on. We just have a flashing red light that we want to make it stop. And so you can go to the pharmaceutical aisle and find a lovely piece of duct tape and cover that blinking red light up until your engine blows up. But essences are maybe going to get to the root of why that flashing light is there, and not just make it stop blinking at you. To me, that’s what the really gift of essence is, is to make them help you figure out why that light is blinking so hard. Why am I feeling this so much and what is underneath it? What am I ignoring? What am I missing here? What signals am I missing? And then the essence can work because it’s helping you get to the root of why you’re having that experience.
[ppp_patron_only level=”2″]Rochana Felde: [00:12:16] Yeah, they don’t work the same for everyone as well. So one person might get that immediate relief and another person may not for various reasons. It’s not just, is it the right flower essence that might be part of it, but the other part of it may be the underlying reason for that person’s symptom or reaction or whatever emotion they’re going through that they’re trying to deal with could be different. Everybody is composed of all of these layers. And life experience in every single person is individual and unique. And, sometimes these symptoms, they’re caused by triggers from our childhood, they’re caused by trauma, they’re caused by complicated things. Sometimes they’re not as complicated. And so the flower essence, I feel like it helps the energy and burden itself so that you can release things, but that might not be the whole story. That might be piled on top of something else that needs releasing. That’s something else that’s tied and integrated into this emotional trigger that’s happening. And so if there’s any complexity towards what the person is taking the flower essence for, it’s probably not going to be solved by taking one essence one time. It’s probably going to be– and unsolved, even that word, it isn’t even the right word. It’s like, we’re never going to make our life history and experience go away. It’s not like we can turn off this off button magically somehow that makes it so like it was never there. The essence is, I love your analogy, it is a friend that is helping you get through your own process with it.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:14:24] That’s perfect because it is– we really are talking about two possibilities. The easy one, if it’s a real situational experience, like I’m really afraid of public speaking, then maybe Larch is really going to help. And maybe that’s really that’s all you need. But if the problem is more complicated, if it’s more about that your whole life you were told you weren’t supposed to be seen and that you were supposed to be silent and you’ve had a lot of bad experiences and all these sorts of things, if it’s a whole tangle like that, then just taking Larch is probably not going to help you get on stage and express yourself really well. So I appreciate what you’re saying, there are simple situations that the essences can “work” really quickly and easily and then, boom, you’re done, but a lot of times it’s more complicated or more interesting perhaps than that and more of a process and more of a journey. And I think we really underestimate the value of the journey too. There are so many of us, myself included, I just want to get there. Can you just fix this so that I can get there and get on with my life? And the older I get and the more experience I have in my own journey and with helping with other people as a practitioner, it’s like the journey is the point, that you can’t learn without doing the journey part. So it’s not maybe the news everybody wants to hear, but it is a valuable point to make, I think that you do learn as you go.
Rochana Felde: [00:16:02] Yeah, it’s such an important point with– well, it’s really the point of flower essence therapy. So when we say that we’re not just taking flower essences, we’re embarking in flower essence therapy, that’s that process, that process of working with these essences over time and peeling back the layers. And every time, you’re on a journey, you’re making progress, and you discover something new that was there that you didn’t know about. And now you can work with that. And it’s this natural flow. Nothing to be kind of forced, not regimented. There’s no timeline. Everybody’s timeline is different. It’s just a very highly personalized experience. But something that you said made me think about Rescue Remedy or the Five-Flower Formula. And that’s the perfect formula for a crisis situation. That’s not one that you would typically take over time usually, although you could if it fits. But it’s there for these crisis emergency situations where something comes up and you need extra help dealing with it. But I think what’s interesting is that because, well, one brand of it is marketed as a stress reliever, there’s a little bit of a misconception on how it’s used. And it’s not just thinking that you’ll take it and you’ll be less stressed automatically, right? So Kathleen, what are your thoughts on that?
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:17:48] It’s a really good point because the essences are not like sedatives. It’s not going to sort of dull you down, make you not feel things. They can help you feel calmer. They can help you feel more capable of handling what’s happening, more in yourself and in your body perhaps. But to that point as a practitioner working with people, I’ve had more than a few circumstances where someone will come to me and through the conversational process that I find out what they’re looking for and they’re looking essentially for, and upset if I can’t provide, something that will help them tolerate the intolerable. Women who are in abusive relationships, and they want something just to make it okay, and it’s like, well, I can’t give you an essence for that because it’s not going to make it okay. You can take sedatives for years and be able to zone out, but I can’t give you an essence that’s going to do that. There’s not the natural cure for enduring something that’s just unendurable. So, I mean, it makes me sad. And it’s really tragic when I meet somebody like that or talk to somebody like that, I’m like, let’s help you find some support to get out of this but not getting out of it isn’t– you can’t be happy in this circumstance. You’ve pretty much proved that you can’t do it. So I think we got a little heavier here, but it is something that people do seek. Instead of going to their doctor to get a sedative or to get a antidepressant, they’re going to look for a natural solution. And I do see this from time to time where somebody’s looking for a flower essence that it’s going to act in that drug-like way. And they won’t do that. They can help you feel stronger so that you can get out. They can help you feel more capable. They can help you feel more resourced. But they don’t help you endure the unendurable.
Rochana Felde: [00:20:06] That is such a good point. And we talk about flower essences because this is The Flower Essence Podcast, But they don’t do everything. I mean, they are not a cure-all by any way, shape, or form. And so, I don’t know if we say that, if that comes out because we’re focused on what the flower essences do do, but they’re not going to change those unbearable parts, right They’re not going to work like a pharmaceutical, and they’re not going to be the one and only thing that is all you need. And maybe people are kind of used to that sort of marketing effort, especially with I think what happened with the essential oil companies and the multi-level marketing that surrounded them and how they started being touted as cure-alls as well for everything. And there can be some powerful medicine from essential oils, of course, used in the right way and safely by somebody who has been formally trained in doing that but they also are not the one and only thing. So it’s like in society, especially in the alternative health world, it’s just so common like a new thing kind of hits the consciousness and all the people that love it, it’s great, but it goes too far. It’s like, this is the thing that does all the things. It’s all we need. And so no the flower essences are such a lovely, beautiful, and important part of a wellness toolbox, but they’re not the whole toolbox.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:21:57] Yeah. And like you were saying, it’s like if you take– the marketing is sometimes Rescue Remedy as stress relief. It’s like, well, yes, but why are you so stressed? It can’t help you live in a lifestyle that’s not healthy. It can’t. Briefly maybe, but then it stops working. And I would love to talk about what that whole concept means, when it stops working. Because I have certainly had that feedback from time to time. And when I’m in a therapeutic relationship with a client, we can talk about that like, okay, yeah, that went away for a couple of months and then now it’s coming back. It’s like, no, the essences didn’t stop working. Now you’re actually capable of looking at it. It’s like they will help hold you in place until you’re ready to start processing and in whatever way you might start processing. And so a lot of times, if people are doing essences on their own and they find something like White Chestnut to help them sleep and it works for a little while, and then maybe it stops working. Then it’s your golden opportunity to look deeper and figure out what might have been underneath that. And the White Chestnut was helping hold your hand until you got to the next stage, and now what needs to be looked at? And that’s going to be different for absolutely everyone.
Rochana Felde: [00:23:27] Yeah. And it highlights so much that it’s not a one-size-fits-all. Even though we have these lists and repertories that tell us flower essences can be for this specific thing, it might be the first step for that specific thing but not the whole story. Definitely agree.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:23:56] And there’s a piece about fixing all your problems at once, and this is something that I know when I first got into essences, I was so enthusiastic. I’m like, I made a list. And when you start learning about essences, you’re definitely going to be thinking, oh, I need every single one of these. Do you want to talk a little bit about that aspect about how to find your way through without trying to do it all in one?
Rochana Felde: [00:24:19] Yeah, I mean it’s a common discussion when creating a blend for a client or even for yourself, you start thinking, what do I want to address? And as you’re thinking about the flower essences, maybe reading the descriptions you’re going, oh, well, that applies, that applies, I have that, I have this, I need that, I need this. And before you know it, it’s the kitchen sink effect, right? You’ve just thrown everything in at the kitchen sink. And so I always approach it as focus on what’s the one most important issue, topic, theme, challenge that you’re going through right now, and just focus on that and all of the essences that you choose for your blend or to take even in any other way, just focus on that one thing and then the rest will start to follow. Over time you can start to– once you’ve got a handle on the most– usually what happens is that thing that was the most important issue for somebody a month ago after they’ve been taking the essences, it’s kind of going away to the background or it’s just not so critical, it’s not so important. Other things might start emerging, and then that’s when you can adjust the blend and the essences that you take. So that’s how I look at it. And also, I like to think about it as say you’re a gourmet cook and you love food and you love spices, and this is something that I used to do cooking a lot is just, oh, I love the spice and I just really overdid it, put too much spice in, too many different types of spices. And so there’s an art to paring it down to the essentials and making something harmonious. And if you taste something like that, it’s like your taste buds don’t know which way to go. They don’t know what to do. Your body doesn’t know if it likes it or not. And so that’s a way to think about it, a way to think about flower essences is you want to give your body, your mind, your soul some clear instructions and not muddy the waters.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:26:58] That’s really good advice because, yeah, when you try to sort of make the giant buffet plate of 18 different cuisines all in one serving, your stomach’s going to be upset with you probably. And it’s like you’re saying the signal gets unclear and your system doesn’t know what to do. My experience with that, and this was something that we all did during the training and everybody, you just do this one time and then you learn, oh, that didn’t work. When you try to tackle too many topics in one formula, in one cycle, I usually would see one of two results. Either absolutely nothing happens because it’s just such a muddy mess that your system doesn’t know what to do, or you have a big old meltdown, and it’s not really a processing kind of meltdown. It’s just sort of a muddy mess. And so nothing positive happened. Problems take some time to develop usually except for in crisis situations. And they take time to unwind. If you have a physical issue, it takes a number of sessions with a body worker just to get it unwound, and then other parts are going to start aching because they’re moving differently. And I think that our energy body is not completely different, that working in one area, okay, let’s get that going. All right, and then we’ll move on to the next one. And then it allows your system time to equilibrate between releases, between shifts and changes.
Rochana Felde: [00:28:30] Yeah. Shifting gears a little, there’s a couple myths, or questions I guess you could say, and concerns about taking flower essences. And one of them is about people who are allergic to the plant. So say you’re allergic to Goldenrod or Acacia or Lavender or something like that, as many people are, at least for the first two, there’s a worry that taking the flower essence, could trigger allergies. And so, to reiterate, there isn’t any physical substance of that plant left in the diluted flower essence. So there’s no chance of any kind of allergic body response to that.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:29:27] It’s an interesting conversation. And usually if somebody expresses that they’re concerned about taking a particular plant for a reason, maybe they had a bad experience with it, or maybe like you’re saying, they’re allergic, I would usually start them, because there’s this inherent concern in them and I don’t want to just blow through that because it’s a legit concern, I would say, how about you take it externally? How about we dilute it and you try taking a drop on the back of your hand or somewhere that doesn’t feel vulnerable? Just kind of like easing your way into it and then you develop some confidence with taking it like, oh, okay, nothing bad happened. It feels totally safe, it’s totally fine. Or even just start by holding the bottle. If you don’t have a bad feeling to that, then try putting it on your skin and see how that works, but easing their way into it. Because sometimes there’s a real lesson in that plant for you that it’s you’re having this huge reaction to it, which is an allergic reaction is sort of the body’s way of throwing something off that it perceives as hostile. And so working with the energy or the spirit of that plant can be a way to get to the message of it and figure out what’s maybe underneath that. I would love to talk a little bit about this concept of that if you are repelled by a plant or repelled by an image of a plant, that means you should take it. And I know this is something that you’ve heard and experienced, Ro.
Rochana Felde: [00:31:02] Yeah, Kathleen. Well, I mean, I’ve just heard it so many times, not just for flower essences specifically, but in general. I think it stems from that what we resist persists kind of idea which has some merit to it, but I think the new age like, we’ve just taken it too far once again. And that means that everything that we have a negative reaction to, it means we have to work through it or something. I do like to honor the intelligence of our body and our spirit in telling us what’s good for us and what’s bad for us too and not to always try to override that because we think that we need to be doing something because somebody else said so. So that’s where I come from. It kind of triggers that thought in me. So when you feel like you see a plant or a picture of the flower for the flower essence and you’re just kind of like, ugh, I don’t want to take that, I don’t feel any attraction to that, or maybe even I feel disgusted by it. I mean, it’s interesting. It’s a really interesting reaction. If you had that reaction to the plant, it’s something to pay attention to for sure because it’s telling you something. It doesn’t mean you have to take it though. So it’s just something to be aware of and to see how that might change over time to see if later in time you have that same reaction and then maybe you feel like, you know what, I want to explore this. I want to take it and see how that feels. If you feel like that, great. But if you don’t, then don’t worry about it. It might not be the right plant for you right now. And your body and your system is just telling you that you’re not ready for it and don’t force it. That’s what I say, you’re not ready for it. There’s even a part of me that likes a challenge, you know? And it’s like, okay, come on, let’s do it. I’m going to get in there and fix myself and I’m going to take that thing that I am supposedly not ready for. Well, that’s not really helpful either.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:33:28] There this inherent timing to our process. And you can’t just decide that there’s no value or that that’s not really true. It’s amazing over time the evolutionary process, the internal evolutionary process and things that I used to be really reactive to and really used to hate, now I’m like, hmm, maybe there’s something there. It is funny how the more you kind of unwind those reactions and you’re more able to look underneath what’s coming up. That can tell you a lot about your process and your experience. So like you say, it’s not to be ignored, but it’s not also to be overridden. It’s something to be noticed, appreciated. There’s a part of you that’s resistant to that for a reason. That’s there for a reason. I think all of these resistances are there for a reason. And certainly as a practitioner, I never force anybody past their resistance. I think that’s a terrible idea. It will melt if met with kindness, if met with appreciation because it’s done a job for you, it’s there for a reason, it’s been protecting you probably all of your life. It shouldn’t be told to shut up and go sit in the corner. It’s been really good to you. And when it starts to soften, then you can get the gift, then you can get the growth out of that experience rather than just force it. We’re not forcers, are we?
Rochana Felde: [00:35:03] I mean, I think for me, it’s sort of my own lifelong personal lesson because I’ve tried to force things in the past. I’ve tried to take the challenge. Everything’s a challenge that I need to win or solve. And so this again, it’s working with flower essences over time, I mean, for me personally, it’s helped me to soften on that account. I’m certainly not competitive in that toxic way that I may have been 20 years ago in my youth. And part of that is the growing older and wiser, I guess. But I think that when you start working with flower essences on this path and you’re on that journey, these learnings, these self-realizations, they come so much more, so much easier, so much more in your consciousness. And that is the thing that I love about it.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:36:06] Yeah. Like you, I tend to be the, just bash in and try to fix things. And I’ve certainly learned over the years that maybe there are some other approaches that might be a little healthier for me to do. So I too am very familiar with that like, oh, there’s a thing, I’m going to go fix that. But yeah, it’s this process of organic growth and healing process. Yeah, it’s a little slower, it’s a little more deliberate, it’s a little less dramatic usually. Essences can be dramatic. There certainly can be experiences of clearings. I don’t want to take that away from anybody, but they’re intense. I don’t know how many experiences you’ve personally had with essence clearings where it was just this moment and everything just started to blow through. And for a couple of days, you just can’t stop crying. But boy, when you’re on the other side of it, ooh, everything looks so much more clear, you feel so much better, it’s fantastic. So essences can be dramatic from time to time, but it never really happens when you expect. It never happens when I think like, oh yeah, once upon a time, I used to try to be a little bit more intentional with formulas and be like, okay, this person is ready for this. And those things, those big changes don’t really happen on order. They happen when they happen. And I can be giving somebody the sweetest, fluffiest little formula with all the cute little essences that are just delicate and delightful. And then they have this huge experience like, okay, well, wouldn’t have guessed it, but the timing is the timing. It’s just, what are you going to say?
Rochana Felde: [00:37:52] And isn’t that interesting? Because that sweet, cute, soft, warm fuzzy formula probably gave them such a great sense of safety that they finally were able to release those old traumas or emotions that had been stuck for so long. And so that is so true. Yeah, it’s not necessarily the big, not scary, there’s no scary essences, but the ones that have a little bit more depth– not depth. I don’t know what the right word is, but they could be working with those more intense things. And maybe you’ll take that and it’ll be no big deal. And then you’ll take something that seems much more easy and get that because it’s really I think there’s such an intelligence to them. And again because we talked about them not being working on this chemical way in your body, that they’re working with energy, but I feel that there’s an intelligence in working with you individually, with your body, with your soul, and it’s this intelligence that is just taking you where your soul needs to go. Your soul is part of that process. It’s helping to co-direct what’s happening. And so maybe there’s a handshake, a spiritual handshake between the essences and your soul. And so, it’s going to work in a way that part of you, maybe not consciously, but part of you is agreeing to, right?
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:39:56] Yeah. And the agreement doesn’t come from the intellect. The agreement comes from your whole being. And I think that the biggest thing of all is that we’ll go to the natural food store, we’ll be like, I want to sort this out. And there’s maybe quite a big part of you that’s not ready for that, doesn’t want to do it, doesn’t want anything to do with it, but there’s an inner tyrant that’s telling you, you need to do this thing. And so unless all of you feels safe enough, feels supported enough, feels heard enough to move forward, there’s going to be sabotage. You’re going to lose that bottle 18 times, it’s like all sorts of things can happen. You’ll spill it, you’ll drop it, you’ll break it, you’ll lose the bottle because there’s a big part of you that says, uh-uh, I’m not ready for that yet. And I love what you were saying about how a really sweet formula sometimes can soften. And I think you’re right because sometimes we can be holding it together and holding it together and keeping a tight grip on things. And then somebody actually asks us how we’re doing, really meaningfully asks us how we’re doing, and all of a sudden we’re just sobbing because we’re not okay. And we finally got heard. We were finally met with kindness and with gentle support and, okay, now I can release. So the essences do that for us. The essences can provide that for us. They’re so much more than just a stress relief.
[/ppp_patron_only]Rochana Felde: [00:41:44] So beautiful. It really is lovely. And here we started this intention of correcting misinformation, right, but it’s just the essences, the flowers they come in and just talking about them. And we haven’t really talked about specific flowers in this episode so far, but just talking about them and this process and this soul work, it’s so uplifting. It’s just so beautiful. It’s healing. And I think that we’ve heard some feedback from listeners that hearing us talk about flower essences has this healing effect. And so I hope that this is landing that way as well even though we started it out a little bit more lighthearted in busting myths. It always ends up this way. It ends up with this beautiful intelligence from nature, from the natural world and all of its intelligence and how we as humans have these bigger soul, these souls that are bigger than our bodies, they’re bigger than us, and there’s intelligence on both sides meeting and connecting and growing.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:43:04] So true. It’s really a privilege to do this work. It’s a privilege to be in this partnership with you. And it’s a privilege to be able to speak to you, listener. Yeah, I see you. Thanks for being with us. Thanks for being part of this. Thanks for allowing and bringing the flowers into your life and into the life of your loved ones. And maybe you’re a practitioner and you have clients. Thank you for helping to spread this. It’s so important for all of us right now that there are so many people who are so struggling right now. The mental health crisis is real, and to know that there’s something that can help. We can’t fix all the problems in the world, but if you’ve got a friend who could maybe use some help, you can probably help that. We’re all doing our little part. And between all of us holding energetic hands, we can make things better. We have this wonderful gift from nature that is freely given and that we can offer without any potential for harm. And that comes back to like, why I got interested in this in the first place, is to be of help, be of service. And so if there’s anything that we can do for you, listeners, if you have a favorite misunderstanding that we missed, why don’t you write to us or check us on the socials or something like that? You can reach us always at, hello@floweressencestudies.com. We’d love to hear from you. We’d love to hear, maybe we missed something or you have a different opinion, we’d love to hear that. And then if there’s something that you’re looking for from us, we’d love to get suggestions from our audience. We appreciate you. We really do. And we also have conversations going on Patreon from time to time with our lovely supporters there. We really appreciate you all for helping. We really, really appreciate you for listening, for sharing the show and for being a patron, if you can. Thank you all.
Rochana Felde: [00:45:13] Thank you so much, everybody.
Kathleen Aspenns: [00:45:16] Until next time. Bye-bye now.
